Wow. This was my first CB’s matinee. AJ from Leeway filled in on 2nd guitar for Breakdown. He did this for nearly every band back then. Him and Wally Schreifels were the utility players of late 80s New York Hardcore – if anyone was sick or couldn’t play a show they would fill in. I remember people bugging that Breakdown – who still only had that first demo out, and this was after the original band broke off to form Raw Deal – headlined over Verbal Assault who had a couple albums out but hey, that’s just “The Way It Is.” Breakdown, even with that 2nd lineup, were still a fucking force to be reckoned with. And they covered “Ready To Fight” by Negative Approach. Shit was rad.

Shit! This is my dream show. I wonder if there’s video of this somewhere?
Not that I have seen, BUT I think the Vision tape I have labeled as “CB’s 89” might be this show.
