This show was actually in 1991. Crazy crazy show. Cops shut it down and rightly so. Cycos and white power skins had a war. Pools of blood, riot police, etc. Dude, it was not cool. It was the last show at the Miramar, the place was absolutely destroyed. It was cool seeing Circle One though. They played before the crowd degenerated into murderous assholes. If you want more info I have vivid memories of it and can spin quite a yarn describing it.
Hey BB, thanks for clarifying the year. Can you recall who sang for Circle One that night? John Mascias passed away in May 1991, so who was on mic duty?
That was the first show I went to and youre 💯 on that. It was a rad show (first time hearing Circle One and JR. I remember some of those bands/crowd going off), but completely devolved during Adolescents. WAR skins were dropping flyers that night and were making things edgey early on. I didn’t see how it popped off (I was in pit and it seemed like it was in the seats?). I missed the human damage, but the girls in our crew got us out of there
when the theater seats were being stomped out and thrown around. I remember Adolescents looking nervous and when the plug was finally pulled. That was quite the wall of cops outside. Straight up riot. I’m pretty sure they tear gassed it, but it was a rush out of there so it was a blur. Never really saw things THAT crazy at a show after that. Crazy times
