Cool show, but unfortunately RESIST didn’t end up playing. I was the bassist, and we headed downtown to the venue for load-in early enough so that we wouldn’t have to rush…or so we thought. We hadn’t taken into account Portland’s annual Rose Festival, which was occurring at this time. Downtown Portland was a nightmare of crowded sidewalks and closed-off streets due to the Parade that was scheduled for later that evening. We were forced to park quite some distance from the club and carry all of our gear through the crowds, which was a total nightmare. Once we arrived at the venue with all of our stuff, we were told that we were too late to play. Oh, well…we hung out and watched was a pretty cool show before we finally grabbed our shit and hauled it back through the crowds, back to our van, many, many blocks away…
